Studentens löfte
As a member of the Wibergseminariet community, I represent by my words, actions, and attitudes the Lord Jesus Christ before the local community, the academic community, the church, and the watching world. Therefore, I freely and solemnly pledge, with God as my witness, to uphold the honor of my Lord and Wibergseminariet by honoring and cherishing the principles of the Wibergseminariet pledge as outlined below.
- Commitment to personal holiness: I pledge to conduct myself with all holiness and reverence in word, deed, and attitude, as Scripture requires.
- Commitment to sound doctrine: I pledge to maintain sound Christian doctrine, to regularly attend a church, and to maintain a teachable spirit. I pledge to abstain from actively promoting doctrines contrary to the mission and goals of Wibergseminariet. I pledge to resist temptations to entertain or to encourage vain speculations and historic or contemporary doctrinal errors.
- Commitment to academic integrity: I pledge to commit myself to the practice and preservation of the highest standards of academic integrity.
- Commitment character development: I pledge to nurture my character by submitting to the lordship of Christ in all areas of my life and as I do so to allow God to mold and shape me more into his likeness, as a display of himself to the world.

Conflict
All members of Wibergseminariet are expected to be in agreement with the vision, policies and doctrine of Wibergseminariet. This does not mean that there will be agreement on all issues, but disagreement should be properly voiced, and communicated to the correct person. All staff and students are expected to handle conflict according to biblical principles as outlined in Matthew 18. We realize that honest differences between colleagues and staff and among students may occasionally arise. We endorse the biblical principle (Matthew 18:15) of discussing concerns honestly and directly with the people involved and trying to resolve any differences on a person-to-person basis.
Personal Appearance
Wibergseminariet asks that its staff and students dress in an appropriate manner, consistent with the nature of our work. Apparel should be modest, in good taste, and should honor God. We are working “as unto the Lord” and should look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others
Academic Honesty
Cheating is the presentation of someone else’s work, which the student ought to have done personally. This includes submitting answers to test questions derived by some means other than that intended by the instructor. It also includes turning in written assignments composed in whole or in part by someone else.
Plagiarism is intellectual thievery and lying. The use of sources is a valuable step in appropriating the learning of the Church’s tradition to help us interpret and faithfully apply Scripture. However, using information obtained from a source without indicating it (whether by footnote, parentheses, bibliography, or some other appropriate reference, depending on the type of assignment) is plagiarism. This applies to any information that you gain from someone that is not “common knowledge.” It does not apply only to exact quotations or precise verbal allusions. Altering the wording does not remove the obligation to acknowledge the source.
Moreover, the use of ChatGPT or any similar language models is strictly prohibited for the completion of writing assignments in this course. Students are expected to independently generate their own ideas, conduct research, and develop their writing skills. The purpose of course assignments is to assess your individual understanding, critical thinking, and ability to communicate effectively in writing. The use of automated language models undermines the integrity of the learning process and is considered a form of academic dishonesty.
