  1. Explore the historical, cultural, and religious background of the New Testament era and the socio-political context in which the early Christian communities emerged.
  2. Gain familiarity with the structure, content, and literary genres found within the New Testament, enabling students to navigate and interpret the various books and passages accurately and responsibly.
  3. Foster an appreciation for the unity and diversity within the New Testament, highlighting the theological harmony amidst the diverse voices and perspectives of the various authors.
  4. Explore the lives and ministries of key New Testament figures, such as Jesus Christ, the apostles, and early church leaders, examining their teachings, writings, and contributions to the spread of Christianity.
  5. Examine the nature of the gospel message as presented in the New Testament, exploring the biblical teachings on salvation, the role of faith, and the reconciling work of Jesus Christ
  6. Explore how key biblical-theological themes, such as covenant, redemption and atonement, creation and new creation, the people of God, and the dwelling place of God culminate in the New Testament.
  7. Develop an understanding of the church and its mission as shaped by the gospel and the kingdom of God.
  8. Encourage personal spiritual growth and transformation through the study of the New Testament, enabling students to deepen their love of God and their faithfulness as servants in their local churches.
